Gilded Pumpkins

You’ll Need:

  • (1) 5-gallon bucket

  • 3-4 gallons of water

  • 1 can each of gold, silver, and bronze enamel spray paint

  • live or faux pumpkins

  • rubber gloves

  • newspaper for drying

Directions:

  1.  Fill bucket with 3-4 gallons of water.

  2. Wearing the gloves, spray several colors of paint ON TOP of the water surface for approximately 5 seconds each color. Be sure to hold the nozzle of the paint can 3-4 inches from the water surface. (Paint will swirl on top of water and make a marble pattern.)

  3. Holding the stem, carefully dip and roll pumpkin through the swirl of paint, adding more paint as needed. The marbled paint will transfer to the exterior of the pumpkin.

  4. Repeat process until desired results are reached. Set wet pumpkins on newspaper and allow paint to completely dry for 1 hour.
