Dear Lovely,
Sausage Balls are one of those recipes that can be made for a plethora of occassions. Make them for an appetizer to share at a friend’s party. Need something to feed the kids before trick-or-treating, sausage balls are easy for them to grab on the go, plus they are pretty filling prior to overdoing it on the candy. Sausage balls are also great as a brunch bite and pair perfectly with a mimosa.
Sausage Balls require only 3 ingredients and freeze really well.
Instructions:
Pre-heat oven to 350°.
Line 2 cookie sheets (with a lip) with parchment paper and set aside.
In a very large bowl, combine sausage and cheese and mix thoroughly until well combined.
Add Bisquick and combine by continuing to turn over mixture with your hands. Be sure to mix in the cheese and baking mix that gathers in the bottom of the bowl. This takes a little time.
Roll into golf ball size balls, or a touch smaller, and arrange on cookie sheets.
Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. If baking from frozen, bake for 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
2 pounds hot sausage
2 ¾ cup Bisquick
20 oz Cheddar cheese, shredded and brought to room temp
