Paris Fashion Fall ‘26 Part 2

Dear Lovely,

Prior to leaving for Paris on my Creative Renaissance trip, I posted a lovely little blog detailing the looks I was aiming to achieve while abroad and what pieces I invested in before the trip. Today, I want to show you how it all ended up working out. You can read Part 1 of this blog post HERE.

As you already know, I invested in 6 pieces to take with me on this trip, and because I keep my clothes forever, I’m glad to know these will take me to many places across the globe in the future.

1.) First up was The Black Dress

Here was my inspiration board:

And here is how I wore The Black Dress while in Paris

The Black Dress was an absolute winner and I will travel with it and wear it forever. The wrinkles shook out so easily with my wrinkle spray (read more about that HERE.) It was flattering and so comfortable. It looked good with both flats and heels and even though I never wore it this way, I think it would look so cute with tennis shoes. ✅ for The Black Dress

2.) Next were the Red Ballet Flats

Below is my inspiration board:

And here is how I actually wore them:

Loved these. Loved. I really only wore them with my black dress because I also brought a pair of black patent loafers that I wore as well when a flat shoe was needed, but I am so glad I have them for the fall. ✅ for Red Ballet Flats

3.) Cute Tennis Shoes

Here is my inspiration board for Cute Tennis Shoes:

Here is how I actually wore them:

I wore the Cute Tennis Shoes on the plane, but once I arrived in Paris, I wore them mostly with a pair of vintage Levi’s that I puchased while I was there. Very cute. Very comfortable! I also wore them with a pair of wide legged olive pants I purchased while there as well. I also put them on with a little white dress when did a street art tour and loved how cute it looked. ✅ for Cute Tennis Shoes.

4.) Stirrup Pants

Here is my inspiration board:

And here is how I actually wore them:

I wore them out to dinner one night with a black body suit and a sheer dress that I thrifted here in the States. Honestly, it’s probably some sort of swimsuit coverup or something, but I love it! I topped that look with a leather jacket because that evening was chilly. In the selfie photo on the staircase, I wore it with the same black bodysuit and a thrifted navy duster, although you really can’t see it very well. Unfortunately, that’s the only photo we took that night. I paired it with black loafers and I loved how it looked. I would have worn these much more on the trip if Paris hadn’t been so hot. Literally, the temperature was about 15° warmer than my weather app said the week before so I spent a lot of time being hot. ✅ for Stirrup Pants IF the weather is cooler.

5.) The White Shirt

Here is my original inspiration board:

And here is how I actually wore it:

I was only able to wear The White Shirt once because I spilled wine on it and didn’t have a good way to clean it while there. Darn. But it looked great left open over the black body suit and this pair of wheat colored wide-legged jeans from Sézane that I purchased while there.

6.) Sheer Ice Blue top

Here was my inspiration board:

And here is how I wore it…I didn’t. I never wore it one time. 😏

If I were to tell you some definites when packing for Paris it would be this:

  1. The Black Dress slays and is super versatile. Truly my favorite item I took with me.

  2. Stirrup Pants are great if the weather cooperates. Not fun in the heat.

  3. A fun pop of color like in The Red Flats can bring a little style to any look.

And as far as things I already owned that earned their place in my suitcase?

  1. Black patent loafers by Franco Sarto are Ah.Maze.Ing. So comfortable and so versatile. Another traveler on my retreat had a pair too, and we both wore them all the time.

  2. A black bodysuit is an excellent under pinning for so many different looks.

  3. My thrifted oversized blazer is just cool and I will probably request to be burried in it.

Fashion can seem so frivilous to some, but it is truly one of my favorite ways be creative. I think the important thing to remember is to pay attention to what makes you feel good. For me, it was my thrifted blazer. Wearing it paired with thrifted vintage Levi’s and my black loafers and a t-shirt felt like me. I wore no makeup. Didn’t mess much with my hair. It was my last day in Paris and we were exhausted, but I felt like myself because of what I was wearing. It feels good to feel good, doesn’t it?
