Fab over 40

Dear Friends,

Today I post a letter telling you of an incredible competition The France Dance and I have entered called
FAB OVER 40. Yes, you heard me correctly, TFD and I have entered a competition!

FAB OVER 40 is designed to empower and celebrate women aged 40 and above by highlighting the confidence and achievements of women in this age group and by redefining beauty standards. Isn’t this a wonderful mission? I know as a young woman I was so eager to go, go, go, and achieve, achieve, achieve, but now I can confidentally express how good it feels to be in my 40s, backed with the wisdom that comes with a little bit of age, and breathe easier. I’m enough as I am.

Although I began working on The Art of Living Beautifully brand in my 30s, I published my first novel at 42—the first of many, I hope—and I’m excited to use the FAB OVER 40 platform to spread my mission of creating beautiful lives, void of autopilot, initiating healing, utilizing our gifts, and spreading the love of Jesus. Because friends, that’s really why any of us are on this earth: to share Christ’s love.

Yesterday, I published a few pictures of my son’s homecoming week on Instagram, and some person who follows me, that I don’t know and have never met, left a comment saying they, “look like a bunch of horrific Trump supporters.” I don’t have a large following on Instagram, so the fact that this woman somehow found me and felt the need to spew unwaranted and unnecessary criticism over my child and his precious friends just goes to show how much everyone needs to feel Jesus’ love. And how much we (all of us who know Him) need to be giving it. As much as I wanted to throw stones at this imbecile (because I REALLY wanted to track her down) she, and so many others like her, need to be shown Christ’s love.

Anyway, I hope I can count on you to vote for The France Dance and me. Check out my profile on the FAB OVER 40 website by clicking THIS LINK.

  • You can vote every 24 hours.

  • The first time you vote, FAB OVER 40 will verify your identity through Facebook to make sure you’re not a robot.

  • You can donate to the National Breast Cancer Foundation which will provide you additional votes as a thank you.

Supporting breast cancer research is a dear cause for my family and me because my precious mother is a breast cancer survivor. When James was under a year old (that’s 15 years ago) mom was diagnosed with stage 2 cancer and was HER2+. Many of you know this is a dangerous, fast growing form of cancer. She underwent a lumpectomy, a lymphectomy, 7 rounds of chemo then multiple radiation treatments, followed by a full year of intravenous medication to keep the cancer from returning. And thanks be to God, she has been cancer free since 2010.

I hope we can count on you for your votes! I’ll be honest and tell you this competition goes through December and requires continuous votes, but let’s not worry about that right now. Let’s just shoot for the Top 20!

The first round voting is from October 13-October 23 to get into the Top 20. Please forward this to anyone you believe would be willing to support The France Dance and me through voting. Thank you again for your support!
