Apple Harvest Mule
Does Fall entertaining have you craving a Fall cocktail?
I had some neighborhood girlfriends over for drinks not long ago and even though I’m really a wine or champagne girl, I wanted to serve a fun fall cocktail to celebrate the season. A quick Google search lead me a website called The Rooted Farmhouse, where which I found this recipe. I freely admit I cannot take the credit for these delicious flavors.
In our quest to live beautifully, why not stop texting or posting about fall and invite some friends over to actually celebrate the season? Now you’ve got the perfect drink to serve, and it can easily be made without alcohol should you or your friends not drink. I hope you enjoy!
FYI: I served in martini glasses, but I also have these vintage beer mugs that were my grandmother’s that I love to use in the fall especially.
Apple Harvest Mule
ingredients:
apple cider, she has a recipe on her website, but I just used the Spiced Apple Cider from Trader Joe’s
vodka
ginger beer
lemon juice
raw cane sugar (rimmer)
ground cinnamon (rimmer)
cinnamon sticks (garnish)
apple slices (garnish), I used dried ones from Trader Joe’s
fresh rosemary (garnish)
directions:
Pour a bit of lemon juice into a shallow dish. I used a small salad plate. In another shallow dish mix together the cane sugar and cinnamon.
Take your glass and dip the rim in the lemon juice followed by the sugar mixture. Repeat if necessary. Set your glass aside and repeat with other glasses.
Add your ice to your glass and pour 1-2 oz of vodka over the ice. Add in your ginger beer, additional lemon juice if desired, and top with a generous splash of apple cider.
Add your garnish and serve!
